For the fishing world and beyond the Penn brand is an American born Icon and a global household name. Born of humble beginnings, Penn was the dream of German born Otto Henze. Henze fostered his passion while working as a machinist for a reel manufacturer Ocean City Reels in the early 20’s. History shows he would not be satisfied until he began his own reel manufacturing company, Penn fishing tackle, in 1932.
