Penn Spinfisher VII Reel – Saltwater Spinning Reel
The Penn Spinfisher is a legendary fishing reel that has a huge following worldwide. The latest version, the Penn Spinfisher VII, has replaced the Penn Spinfisher VI series and lives up to all the hype. The notable features in this series include machined gears, an IPX5 sealed body and spool design, and an improved line clip.
The CNC Gear System delivers a crank that is smoothness and precise and a system that is now even more durable and hard-wearing. The brass drive, pinion and oscillation gears are cut to exacting tolerances, and kept in perfect mesh by the full metal body and Sideplate.
IPX 5 sealing ensures critical gears and components remain free of the issues of salt water ingress. No longer will the waves or the spray from the boat take years of life from your reel.
Given the astonishing range in the series, you can attack just about every fish in the ocean, inshore and offshore, salt and fresh. There’s a model for casting soft plastics at the racks, from Bream on the lightest of gear, all the way to a model for Pulling huge Mackerel out of a burley trail adjacent the shelf; And, of course, everything in between. Remember, the SSVII10500 has over 22kg of sealed HT-100 carbon fibre drag; that means exceptional fish. Fancy a 50kg + Mulloway?
There is a long cast option, ideal for the rock and beach anglers, a standard option, and the new Live Liner model, which will appeal to the live baiters in particular. There is hardly a spin application the Penn Spinfisher VII Reels will not cover.
Whatever your fishing application, desires or dreams, the Penn Spinfisher VII Reels will take you there with style, durability and performance; they always have. Select yours now.

The Spinning and Live Liner (LL Model) Differences
You may be wondering why some models in the SSVI series have the same number size system other than LL in its name. (IE; there is a 4500 and a 4500LL) So what is the difference? Well LL stand for live liner, it’s a bait and run style fishing reel that allows the fish to take your bait first and you choose when you want to set it to fighting mode by a simple turn of the handle. Live Liner models are perfect for those species of fish that typically are better known for being a little on the wary side and spit the baits in caution. Species like snapper and mulloway for example. Let the fish take the bait first and run with it, strike and fight when ready by turning the handle to engage regular fighting mode.
