Truth is Pakula range is monstrous, and we just cannot physically warrant stocking every single lure they make.
The Pakula lure and tackle range of product totals well over 3,000 different product offerings. That’s a heck of a lot of lures! Too many lures in some peoples opinions (and ours as a retailer on a business based decision). However, it just shows how much dedication and passion the Pakula family have for making lures and their love of game fishing, and that is brilliant!
In the past, we listed nearly their full range of lures on our website for sale and had an arrangement for Pakula Tackle Australia to dropship the lures directly to your door. This arrangement allowed us to grow the Pakula brand but avoided us having to stock thousands of SKU’s and tie up major capital. However, in early 2019 this system, unfortunately, had to come to an end.
In early 2019 Pakula Tackle announced it was no longer viable for them to dropship small orders anymore that would equate to less than approx. $250 in retail value. (So, if you still want to place a sizeable order of Pakula lures please do ask us for a quote. We’d be happy to assist).

Pakula Paua Jet Head Lures
Extra Small Sizes - The Extra Small Pakula Paua Jet Head is a lure that packs a whole lot of noisy visual action into a small lure.
The bubble trail created by the uniquely styled head is a proven fish magnet. Staying in touch with Peter Pakula and his lure development is essential.
There is constant development and always an improvement. It’s a sign of Pakula Tackle dedication to their customers that while current models are profoundly successful, a chance to develop and improve is never left on the table. The heads constantly evolve.
Peter Pakula is always quick to remind big fish blue water anglers that the Extra Small option is an essential inclusion in the kit. On gear as light as 4kg, you can tackle and have much fun with a wide range of sports and light game fish. However, Monster Blue marlin and Black marlin will also have a go at the little skirted trolling lures too.
If you want to play it safe, feel free to fish heavy, your lure will perform just as well, and you might even hang on to a few more lures if you up the line class.

- The 7-inch Bullet is designated as a great lure for beginners. It is a subsurface swimmer so positioning is not critical. Too easy.
Small Sizes - With the small size Pakula Paua Jet Head, small bait really does not equate to small fish. In fact, the average blue water angler can be badly caught out towing a Phantom on 8kg. A 150kg Billfish tends to laugh at such a line class. With a little skill, however, some hard work and patience, you can have the last laugh. It will be the Pakula Jet Head that begins the madness, yet without one, it could be a prolonged day.
The Jet Head delivers a highly attractive bubble trail that serves as a significant fish exciter without fail. Please make sure you rig with Dojo hooks, you’re more than assured a strike, and it’s the Dojo hooks that will dramatically increase the likely hood of that strike turning into a hook-up. The rest, of course, is up to you.
For those interested in better insurance against lure loss, feel free to push up the line class significantly. Your lure will perform just as well, and you have a better chance of returning it to the boat, maybe with the fish still attached as well. The heavy angler will never die wondering, but it’s the brave angler on the light gear that gets the kudos.

Medium Sizes
It’s generally not every session that you will deploy your large and extra-large lures. However, you can nearly be sure that every time you head out there will be a selection of medium size lures in every spread.
The medium size lures are the best way to hedge your bets. You can still attract record-breaking monsters from all species, but you will also draw the smaller specimen of Tuna, Striped Marlin and Sailfish.

When you’re chasing the highest prize in the oceans, you owe it to yourself to fish with the best. Of course, when you’re hunting big fish, you are going to be using big baits. The large and extra-Large Pakula Paua Jet series are the best in the business.
These are marlin lures at best for all species; black marlin, blue marlin or striped marlin.

Pakula Paua Head Lures
Extra Small Paua Head Lures - The Pakula Paua Head Lures (Extra Small sizes) are beautiful looking lures. We can confirm the fish feel the same way about them.
The Paua range is a graduation from the Hothead range. The colours and names remain the same as the predecessor, but the heads have evolved, revealing even better performance.
On first look, such a small trolling lure Small might make you think that it will attract a small class of fish. Nothing could be further from the truth. Blue Marlin in the 150kg range is quite fond of the size.
On ultralight game gear, you certainly have your work cut out with such a monster.
