Halco Metal Spinning Lures – Are basically a chromed metal slug that is often tossed and retrieved at high speeds, there is no real skill involved in this, it’s a simple lure to use and often is used by anglers on rock platforms, beaches and even off the boat to target surface to sub surface fish species such as Australian salmon, tailor, bonito and kingfish only to name a few prime examples. One should also note that just because the 40 grams size is our best seller doesn’t necessarily mean that is the one and only size you should purchase and use, in fact we suggest purchasing a range, sometimes the fish are feeding on smaller profile baitfish and will only take a smaller lure and sometimes there might be some big kings busting off the heads and you need a heavier lure to reach the school. So, our advice is that if you can afford it then stock up on a selection of Halco spinning lures in a good range of styles, sizes and colours.

We stock a range to suit bass and bream anglers through to hardcore tuna and GT anglers and all that fits between. Surface lures offer a lot of excitement as you can see the explosive fish strikes when they engulf your lure right before your eyes, depending on which style you choose they work by chugging popping blooping or crawling across the water’s surface. The action is generally imparted to the lure by a wind and rip action of the rod tip or by proving a direct cast and retrieve.
