Daiwa TD Black Reel MQ Spin (NOTE LISTING UNDERGOING UPGRADE) 2021 MODELS NOW SOLD OUT - UPDATED DESCRIPTION COMING SOON

Born of Daiwa Black pedigree, The eagerly awaited Daiwa TD Black MQ Spin Reel is now on the market, replacing their former LT model. With boatloads of fans queuing before it hit retail shelves and fast-selling out, they're queueing again to get one! The excitement over the Daiwa TD Black MQ Spin Reel is primarily due to the incredible list of top-shelf technological inclusions for a reel that sits firmly at the mid-price point.

The Monocoque body of the all-new Daiwa TD Black fishing reel is an exciting development in the fishing product world. An MQ body offers more strength and water resistance while eliminating any need for screws to hold it together!

Arguably the toughest, most durable light class spinning reel on the market is the TD Black MQ! Like its predecessor, the new TD Black MQ reel features tough Digigear, an upgrade from Digigear II that's 50% stronger. It also has a magsealed body for excellent working life and keeping in peak condition. Then there is ATD, an automatic tournament drag system that makes this reel more intelligent than ever before. Nobody can resist the new TD Black MQ's irresistible combination of performance and price.

The party doesn't stop there yet, as other features include an ultra-light Long Cast ABS aluminium spool, Daiwa's super solid and rigid Zaion body, Air Bail, an aluminium machine cut Handle, Air Rotor and more.

Targets include everything from Bass to Barramundi and all the Aussie classics. Target King George Whiting in the south with the 2500 or hit the Queensland estuaries and rivers with the 5000 for monster Mangrove Jack. Daiwa TD Black MQ Spin Reels have generous spools and high drag capacities, enabling each reel to punch well above its considerable lightweight.
While perfect for mono, the Daiwa TD Black MQ Spin Reel for sale now is made for braid. Lure anglers will love the brilliant performance of the Daiwa TD Black Reel. It's everything you want and more, at a price that might surprise you, for all the right reasons!

Daiwa TD Black Reel MQ Spin Buyer’s Guide

There are five size options with the series. The smallest starts at 2000 for finesse applications, up to the 4000 which covers a broader class of fish from light beach and offshoe, through to heavy inshore. Below we will detail a little extra info on the sizes.

Small Size Class – the 2000 and 2500 are the small sizes in the TD Black series. These two sizes are ideal for light fishing situations. Where they excel is fishing estuary and lake systems. Species you may encounter, or target is bream, whiting, trout, bass, perch and other light fish classes.

Generally, 6ft-7ft graphite fishing rods are ideally suited for either the 2000 or 2500 size. A rod with a line class rating about the 2-5kg class will be perfect.

Medium Size Class –Starting with the 3000 model, this could classify as either a small or medium reel. Why you would choose a 3000 size over 2500 will equate to your line capacity decision. The 3000 size will embrace additional line or support a sturdier braided or mono fishing line classification.

It’s a size that will suit mid to heavyweight estuary fishing should you wish to up-spec your line class.

In terms of fishing rod choice for a 3000 size TD Black, generally, we suggest picking a graphite rod with a rating close to 3-6kg in length between 6-8ft.

4000 is the following level up in size and excels as an ideal heavyweight inshore fishing reel or light offshore spin reel. Perfect for the angler who targets cod, barra, queenfish, mulloway, and other mid-class fish.

Rod wise, a 4000 will generally suit short boat rods and shore spin or light surf rods that rate around 5-10kg or thereabouts.

Benefits

  • The new MQ Concept body and spool not only looks fantastic but makes it the most robust, most reliable and most advanced spin reel of the Black spin reel lineage. The new strength facilitates the use of much stronger PE line classes.
  • Daiwa’s famous Magseal keeps dust, water and other undesirables such as sand from making its way into the critical working parts, increasing the working life of your reel.
  • The ATD drag system helps provide a level of assurance that we don’t lose fish on hook-up owing to the reduced start-up inertia, protecting light lines from aggressive strikes.
  • Air Rotor helps mitigate the transmission of vibration and delivers a perfectly balanced rotor, especially under load.
  • Thanks to larger gears with smaller teeth Tough Digigear is now 50% stronger than the previous and highly successful Digigear II.

Daiwa TD Black Reel MQ Spin for sale is a mid-price master. Designed for you; the sports angler that enjoys the increased action, achieved by fishing light. Perfect for lure anglers, the Daiwa TD Black Reel MQ Spin oozes performance and durability and has a feature list that would be impressive for a far more expensive reel.
