Fred Arbogast, a fond fisherman, was the mastermind behind this fishing lure brand in which has accounted for many trophy fish. Tournament anglers across the globe love the brand. There is one American pro angler named David Duley who has been lucky enough to bank over two million US dollars worth of tournament winnings over the hears due to Arbogast, but here in Australia, it is the surface lures that excel best especially on classes like Australian bass and perch species.
Like so many lure brands of today, Arbogast Fishing Lures all started for Fred as a hobby. Sculpting lures for both himself and friends and fishing his creations in the local waterways. The baits soon were the talk of the town to the point where the tackle shops in the area stopped nothing short of demanding access to stocking a range of these homemade creations.
With all the demand it was then that Fred realised he was on to something special and In 1926 Fred left his employer, a tyre company, and the Arbogast lure brand was officially born for commercialisation.
